Cold Plunge Circulation, Sediment Filtration & UV-C

The RevX X-FLOW Cold Plunge Filtration System combines a 200 W water pump, an 18 W UV-C component and a 20-micron pleated cartridge in a preassembled water-care module. Designed for compatible cold plunges and ice baths, it keeps circulation and filtration separate from the chiller's temperature-control function.

Features & Specifications

  • 200 W circulation pump with integrated heat sink
  • 18 W UV-C component
  • 10-inch, 20-micron pleated sediment filter cartridge
  • 1-inch plumbing barb fittings
  • Separate 110 V pump and UV plugs
  • Supplier-listed maximum combined electrical draw of 3 A
  • Preassembled design for connection to compatible plumbing
  • Supplier describes components as IPX4-rated; follow component-specific placement and electrical-protection instructions

The pump circulates water through the connected system, while the cartridge captures sediment and debris. The UV-C component is part of the water-care setup, not a guarantee of sterile, pathogen-free or chemical-free water. The heat sink is a pump design feature, not a substitute for a chiller.

Modular Design & Service Access

RevX intentionally separates the water pump, filtration and UV components from its chillers. This modular layout keeps components accessible for servicing and future upgrades while leaving the chiller to handle water temperature control.

Setup & Compatibility

X-FLOW uses 1-inch plumbing barb connectors. Confirm your tub's connections, hose sizes, required flow and chiller compatibility before ordering; adapters may be required. A chiller is sold separately.

RevX describes the connected setup as a closed-loop system without a permanent water-supply plumbing connection. Fill the tub with a garden hose, then follow the manufacturer's instructions for connecting the tub, filtration system and optional chiller.

RevX estimates about one hour for complete system installation, including filling the tub, and provides installation videos covering the process. Actual time varies with equipment, site conditions and water flow.

Stacking X-FLOW on a RevX chiller requires the appropriate separate plumbing kit and supplier-confirmed fit and availability. Confirm the current kit and installation requirements before planning a stacked setup.

RevX describes the system as designed for continuous operation and indoor or outdoor installation. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for operating conditions, component placement and electrical protection. Confirm suitability for your specific residential or commercial application.

Maintenance

The supplier recommends changing the filter cartridge every 2–4 weeks based on usage. Inspect it regularly and follow the current manufacturer's maintenance instructions. Filtration and UV equipment do not replace water testing, tub cleaning, appropriate sanitation or water changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does X-FLOW cool the water?
No. X-FLOW provides circulation, sediment filtration and a UV-C component. Temperature control requires a compatible chiller, sold separately.

Why is the filtration system separate from the chiller?
The modular design makes the pump, filter and UV components accessible for service and upgrades while the chiller handles water temperature control.

What connections does it use?
X-FLOW has 1-inch plumbing barb fittings. Confirm hose, tub and chiller compatibility and any required adapters before installation.

Does it require plumbing?
RevX describes the system as a closed loop that does not need a permanent water-supply plumbing connection. Fill the tub with a garden hose. Hoses and fittings are still needed to connect the tub, filtration system and any compatible chiller according to the installation instructions.

How easy is it to set up?
RevX estimates about one hour for a complete system installation, including filling the tub, and provides installation videos covering the process. Actual setup time varies with your equipment, site conditions and water flow.

What are the electrical requirements?
The supplier lists separate 110 V plugs for the pump and UV component, with a maximum combined draw of 3 A. Confirm the current model's manual and have a qualified electrician verify appropriate outlets, circuit capacity and electrical protection for the complete setup.

How often should I replace the filter?
RevX recommends every 2–4 weeks depending on usage. Inspect the cartridge and follow the manufacturer's current maintenance schedule.

Does UV-C eliminate the need for other water care?
No. Continue water testing, cleaning, sanitation and water changes as directed by the manufacturer. Do not rely on this system as a guarantee of sterile water.

Can it be stacked on a RevX chiller?
Only with the correct separate plumbing kit and confirmed model compatibility. Check current kit availability and installation instructions with the supplier.

Can it operate continuously?
RevX describes X-FLOW as designed for 24/7 operation. Follow the manufacturer's operating, inspection and maintenance instructions.
